WHM stands for Web Host Manager which is a web-based console designed to administrate cPanel-based hosting servers. cPanel on the other hand is a control panel provided by the hosting companies to the website owners to manage the sites via web-based interface. It is one of the most used control panels. Like other control panels that has the potential to make changes in many important aspects of your website, cPanel also secured with login credentials to prevent unexpected access and data breach.
Users are allowed to access their cPanel account using a username and password. The password can also be changed or reset for user convenience. So, how do you supposed to change your cPanel password?
First of all, visit the cPanel login page and then follow the instructed mentioned below.
- Click on the ‘Reset Password’ option.
- Enter your existing cPanel username.
- Click the ‘Reset Password’ button.
- You will receive an email with confirmation code to the email address that is connected with your hosting account. Copy-paste the code and hit the ‘Submit’ button.
- Alternatively, you can also click the SSL reset link. In another login page directed by the clicked link, you will be provided a new password.
Use the new password to login your cPanel account.
