Security of your website is very important. Big times you will need to block certain IP Addresses. Reason could be a harmful bot or simply an IP is trying to sneak in your WP admin. This is a common scenario. Thanks to cPanel’s GUI (Graphical user Interface) for it provides a tool called I. P. Deny Manager.
Basically, what I. P. Deny Manager does is it allows users to block IPs as well as domain names. So, if you are in need to block a certain or bulk number of IPs to block, cPanel will help in the following method.
- Login to cPanel account.
- Navigate to Security > IP Blocker
- Enter an IP address or a range of IPs you wish to block in the ‘IP Address or Domain’ box.
- Finally click on ‘Add’ button.
Once any IP address or domain name is added in this list, they won’t able to access your WordPress Admin area.
