Making the platform even easier, cPanel also provides default ports that eliminates the need of manual configuration process. Generally, the port are software programs designed to work as a mean of endpoint communications. Most commonly used ports are all enlisted in cPanel by default.
Nevertheless, the default cPanel ports can be changed manually according to user convenience. Here’s how it is done.
- First of all, login to your WHM server.
- Locate and edit the file named /var/cpanel/cpanel.config via a text editor as you prefer.
- Now, search for the line port=2082.
- Replace the existing port with your desired one.
- Next, restart your cPanel.
