How To Change cPanel Password

As website owners, end users need to be able to control and manage their websites in the way that works best for them. Website management involves a lot of tasks, but programs like WHM and cPanel have made the process much simpler.

WHM, or Web Host Manager, is a web-based console designed to administrate cPanel-based hosting servers. Meanwhile, cPanel is a control panel provided by hosting companies to website owners to manage their sites via a web-based interface. It’s one of the most commonly used control panels, and like other control panels, it has the potential to make changes to many important aspects of your website. However, it’s secured with login credentials to prevent unexpected access and data breaches.

Users can access their cPanel account using a username and password, which can be changed or reset for their convenience. So, how do you change your cPanel password? Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. First, visit the cPanel login page and follow the instructions below.
  2. Click on the ‘Reset Password’ option.
  3. Enter your existing cPanel username.
  4. Click the ‘Reset Password’ button.
  5. You will receive an email with a confirmation code sent to the email address connected to your hosting account. Copy and paste the code and hit the ‘Submit’ button.
  6. Alternatively, you can click the SSL reset link. On the next login page, you will be provided with a new password.

Use the new password to log in to your cPanel account.
